Hotel Management was extremely responsive. They went above and beyond to ensure a great stay and that all our needs were addressed. They even spent considerable time helping us to arrange travel from Crete to Mykonos. I cannot say enough about how helpful the management was.

We had a perfect stay in Civitas Rethymnae. We were there for a 1 week holiday. The hotel is located at the boulevard with view at the sea. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. There are only a few rooms, which makes the contact more personal than in big hotels. They like to have a short personal chat, and you feel like coming home after a trip to the city. The room was spacious, clean and luxureous. We had the fortezza suite with old town few. The jacuzzi provided nice relaxing moments after a day walking to the beautiful place of rethymno. In the evenings we spend lots of time at the balcony. Every morning we had breakfast at the terrace, with bread, toast, coffee and tee, juice, tomatoes with cheese and fresh fruit. Although you cannot choose the breakfast yourself, there is enough to eat and it was no problem to ask for some extra bread etc. We were there during the election period, but we did not experience any troubles. The Greek people were very kind and there were no demonstrations etc. We had a perfect relaxing stay at this hotel.
The first night we stayed at a room with atrium view. This room has no windows to outside and the air conditioning was not able to cool the room down to acceptable temperatures. The staff solved this problem perfectly by giving us an other room with the old town view and sending a mechanic for the airco. The bathroom has a jacuzzi wit shower, but there is no separate shower with a cabin. On the website of Booked.net it is mentioned that there is a Spa and Fitness facilities. They are not there. It is further stated that all the rooms have a balcony. We were fortunate to have a room with the balcony, but there are only 2 rooms with balcony, 1 looking at sea and 1 towards the old town (our room)

Water pressure inconsistencies plagued days two and three of the stay, leaving showers feeling more like dribbles. A lack of cooking equipment in the suite meant that even with a cooking hob, there were no pans or utensils for use. Room maintenance needs attention, with damp spots on the plastering and some cupboard handles missing, impacting the overall charm. TV service malfunctioned when attempting to access Netflix and Amazon.

Excellent position. Friendly stuff and beautiful room (almost an apartment) on 2 floors. Delicious breakfast with coffee, toast with ham and cheese, eggs, sausages, and nutella crep! The owner is a really funny woman!
Everything was awesome.. Only in the room you couldn't reach the wifi connection.

Full size and sensational breakfast, we did not want to leave.
The whole experience was really nice, no complaints whatsoever, recommend. Stayed here for 2 days, truly enjoyed the hotel, it was fairly clean with marvellous location close to the old town. The stuff helped us and were excellent.

The location was excellent in the old town and close to the beach. The rooms were beautifully appointed. Restaurant staff were friendly and helpful always.
The hotel staff were poor and their service was sloppy. Hot water wasn't working for a few days and we were given no updates or apologies. The room was also never made up well - something was always missed in the clean-up.

We missed the things in the bathroom. No body lotion etc.

The Civitas Suites Hotel's unique loft-style suites provided a charming and cozy atmosphere, making for an enjoyable stay.
The lack of cooking utensils and equipment in the kitchenette limited our ability to prepare meals despite having the option to cook in our suite.

I stayed at this hotel for trip, it was an excellant stay. The property was wonderful with really good staff and a brilliant location in the hotel's own outdoor restaurant.

The boutique like hotel had a baroque type of furnishing and decoration. The mattress was excellent, there were 3 TVs, the a/c was very good. It would take a 9.5/10 for a three star hotel, and an 8/10 for a four star. For such a central position it is located the noise in the room was minimal.
It was a two store room but It was really tight and elongated. Photos in the websites are misleading in terms of size (wide camera lenses). The window had a curtain which could not get closed and it was full of dust. The bathroom was very small. There was no full-time reception. There were no soap and toiletries in the bathroom, we had to ask and they brought us conditioner instead of shampoo. The towels were a disgrace, very worn and teared. The toilet not shown as professionally disinfected. The breakfast was moderate. Some of the stuff were ok, some others were impolite. The price seemed at first ok for a five star, but eventually it was a lot for what we got. Not an elevator, many stairs. We would recommend it for a 3.5 stars and much less than 90 Euros we paid. For a 5 star, not recommend it.

The stay was perfect for exploring the local attractions. The room was nice and spacious, and the shower experience was really good. The hotel is centrally located. The breakfast offered a good variety, and enjoying it on the terrace was a highlight of each morning. I appreciated the warm atmosphere and how convenient everything was around us.
